For this assignment you need to research and analyze a specific emerging information technology. Your technology must involve a significant IT component (so solar power would not be acceptable, but your machine learning thermostat might be). The technology must also be emerging – not yet reached the point where it is widely adopted.
You can choose from the list provided below or you can suggest a technology.
- If you choose a technology from the list they are pre-approved and you do not need to do anything.
- If you want to propose a technology send an e-mail to Professor XXX with a one paragraph description of the technology and links to at least 2 sources.
You might want to think about an information technology that might pose a threat to your industry, company, or job.
