Take the time to review the following areas that have been problematic in the prior essay:
- Have you used the correct MLA heading?
- Did you create a title — not just the topic (See the document I added to help you)?
- Is your introduction effective (Have you reviewed my feedback on the draft introduction you submitted?)
- Have you carefully revised your essay — not just turned in your first thoughts/first draft?
- Have you reviewed your past graded essay so that you do not make the same mistakes again?
- Have you reviewed the rubric to make sure you have addressed all the necessary components?
- Is your conclusion actually a conclusion and not just a re-hashing of what you have already said in the paper. Have you ended by addressing why what you have said in the paper is important to society — to our future?
- Is your Works Cited page done in MLA format?
